Winter Holidays - Part 1: Los Angeles
24.7.11
So many of you guys have heard I went to America during the winter break and yes, it was amazing! I was super happy I was gone for half of winter because I kinda hate winter :( Now to explain my holidays.

The 3 destinations were:
  1. LA
  2. Las Vegas
  3. San Francisco
I'll probably have to explain each destination in a different post each, so first up, LA!

Flying for 13 hours to get there is super hard, no really, try it. Anyways, we stayed at the Disneyland Paradise Pier Hotel right smack bang in the middle of the entire Disneyland Place. There's probably heaps of shopping to do OUTSIDE Disneyland, but I'm sad to say that we were kinda stuck in Disneyland because when you look out, there are like these fences which block you off ..like a jail.

In short, my schedule was 2 days in Disneyland, 1 day in California Adventure Park, 1 day at San Diego Sea World, 1 day at Universal Studios and another day chilling at the pool of the hotel.

Disneyland & California Adventure Park
Since we're obviously up for the cool rides, we went on those ones where you get wet and probably throw up because of the many turns on the roller coaster. And that's why, for the first 5 days of my holiday, I got soaked completely because of the water rides.

San Diego Sea World
I think I found my favourite animal there: KILLER WHALES! They were so cute, but you know the shows in America are totally different than Australian shows. There are such things called 'soak zones' and seeing most of us were pretty blind, we didn't know and in the end, the whale splashed its tail. We all probably know how that went down...

Universal Studios
Otherwise known as the best place in the world. We went on the studio tour, checking out the filming sets of Desperate Housewives, Fast and Furious, Chuck, Ghost Whisperer and heaps more :) And I don't know why, but afterwards we went to a water show, and yeah, this time it was the worst. This show purposely made people wet. Who knew that people dressed in rags actually had rusty water guns which splurt out 20m of water.. So yeah, the wettest day of my holiday!

Next was the House of Terror which was horrifying. People know I'm a sucker for scary stories, but I really REALLY suck at being in a haunted house. Out of my 6 family members, my grandparents went first and they were seriously stonered through the entire thing. I was super scared and had to hold my mummy's hand :( After my grandparents were Antonia and Stella and then my mum and I. The entire route of the house to me was about 1km and the only one screaming was me. And note of advice, don't ever close your eyes because when you're trying to get through the haunted house, some mean people might actually chuck some mummy dolls in your face.

Chilling at the hotel pool
You guys probably know I'm also a pushover as well, right? Well I am. Oh and gullible. Stella and Antonia tricked me saying Stella couldn't swim. WELL, guess who, for the next two hours tried to teach Stella how to kick, not drown and do freestyle. Obviously me. My family from the 12th storey looked down to the pool and saw this poor girl drowning underwater to hold the weight of Stella so she could kick. And right again, that poor girl was me. Oh and my family, they didn't feel sorry for me, they were all in on the joke and laughed when they saw me :(

Now, for some pictures of LA!
